Hey everybody,
I have had one of the most amazing weeks in my entire life. I'm not even sure where to start. Well first of all my companions name is Elder Fillmore and he is from Rigby, Idaho. He is really awesome. He's a great missionary and works really hard. I couldn't have asked for a better trainer. Wednesday night we ate dinner at a members house called the Sacketts. They are so nice. They are members but the father smokes a lot so we are trying to work with him on it. They really rely on the missionaries a ton. But they fed me my "green" dinner. Everything was green. It was pretty funny. That same night we had a lesson with a Navajo man and his daughter. It was the first time we taught them and it was an amazing lesson. The daughter just graduated and she was actually athlete of the year at her high school. I'm really looking forward to teaching them again. There was such a strong spirit in the room as we were teaching and they seemed really receptive.
The next day we taught a husband and wife who are in their fifties. Their names are Puff and Jim. They have been taught everything already and we are now just trying to strengthen their knowledge and testimony of the gospel. The wife Puff said that she was ready now but she was just waiting for Jim. They are the kind of people we would really want in our church. They would be very good members who would have big time callings once they joined.
I'm loving the challenge that missionary work is. Very few people are very receptive of us but that really hasn't bothered me yet. I went tracting for the first time on Thursday and that was an interesting experience. I was a little bit nervous at first but I actually like it now. Most people just tell us to go away but every now and then someone is generally interested. Yesterday when we were tracting somebody yelled at us "Satan Loves You!" We just laughed a little bit. I'm loving this work I am doing. We have had other lessons but I'll tell you about those later because I'll write you a letter. By the way if you want to write me my address here in Cortez is:

I love hearing from you guys "it warms my heart". I would also like you to send a bunch of pictures. They could be of the family or whatever. Dad i hope your back starts feeling better. I'll pray for you. Oh and when i was in the airport i happened to look up at one of the televisions and it said something about the greatest tennis match ever?!?!?! What the? I can't even believe it. I don't know any of the details about it i just happened to see that.
I'm glad that you got that picture from President and Sister Anderson. They are so awesome. I couldn't have asked for a better mission president. I really hope that you guys get to come down here to get me so that you can meet them. That would be awesome. He is actually done as president the same week that I'm done here. So the group that I came in with is his last group that will be here the whole time that he's here.
I would like to write more but i have a limited amount of time but I promise that I will write a letter as well. I just want you all to know how much a love you and I couldn't have grown up in a better home than I did. I love this church as well. Each day here my knowledge of the truthfulness of this gospel is reaffirmed. I am loving it here and I promise that i will continue to work my hardest to bring souls unto the only true and living church on the face of the earth. I love you all. The church is true.
Your loving son/brother
