Cortez 7-21-08

Hola Familia,

I thought I'd write you since I didn't say too much in my email. Like I said before I am loving it here. Most of the people are very humble. We have been focusing on the trailer parks because they seem to have the most desire to change their lives, and that is exactly what this gospel does. It changes people's lives and brings greater happiness than thy have ever known. I want you to know how happy I am here. Every day is so great. i love this work that i get to be a part of. Brethren (aka Hunter, Cass, Holden and Cooper) you had better be planning on going on missions cuz they are awesome!!! It doesn't matter at all where you go. I can't believe how disappointed I was when I found out where I was going, but that obviously isn't the case anymore. I love all of the people here. I love the area. I love my mission president. I love my companion, and I love the other elders in the mission. There is this other Elder in Cortez named Elder Stead who is Zach Widner. They have the exact same personalities, sense of humor, and they look exactly a like. Too bad he's going home after this transfer.

So you might be moving to Provo huh? That's crazy; just know that guys will do awesome wherever you are. I actually think that you would like it there quite a bit. You would all have tons of friends and even though the schools would be big, you would all be fine. Just keep praying about it, you'll know what to do.

I wonder all of the time how I got so lucky to have such a great family and to be born into the true church. I always wonder if I would have the courage that some of these people we teach have who join our church in spite of so much resistance from family and friends. Luckily I don't have to worry about it since it was set in my lap. We are so lucky to have the truth that we know.

So, I'll take some more pics and maybe send my camera card home next week. I'll try to take some more pics first though. Well, this is good bye for now but just know that I love you all very much. The Church is true.
