Dear Family,

I'm doing great. My new companion is awesome and the mission is awesome. His name is Elder Miles and he's from Simi Valley California. He is awesome. He's a basketball player and he's already a very good missionary. We are going to have a good time together. Being a trainer is kind of different. I have to be on my best behavior and I have to explain things to him that are just second nature to me. But it has been good. Not everyone gets to train a new missionary. Probably only like 30% of missionaries do. It's a big responsibility but I'm glad I get to do it because it will help me grow as a missionary. And yes Puff was baptized! I talked to her a few days before but I haven't talked to her since. They said that they will get a hold of me when they come down here. Jim is getting closer and closer but it may still be a while. It's so awesome though.

The lack of oil production has really hit this area hard. Tons of people here are getting laid off. I'm so glad that you guys are living there now. Our family truly has been blessed. Thanks for all that you guys do for me. My computer is about to log off so I've got to go but just know that I love you guys so much. The church is true.
