Cortez 9-10-08

Dear Incredible Family of Mine,

This is your missionary son Elder Johnny Hullinger. I'm sitting her outside of a classroom at the church waiting for an awesome young man's baptismal interview. His name is Ryan Stiegelmeyer and he's almost twelve years old (Sept. 18). I've had such a wonderful experience here in Cortez. There are so many great people that I have come across. One of those people is this young man Ryan. I am so proud of him an the choice that he's making. He has come from a very tough background. His father is an alcoholic and his mother is living with a man who is not her husband, but he is still an awesome kid who is still very innocent and I know that this organization is going to give him something to be proud of.

It sounds like things are going better up there. I was told yesterday that Spanish Fork is only 4 1/2 hours from here! That is so nuts! It would be so nice to see you guys but I know that in two years it will be that much sweeter. Hunter and Cass, dad told me that you guys are having kind of a hard time....just hang in there. You two are both awesome and I know that you'll start to make lots of friends pretty darn soon. Plus going to a new place like you have will prepare you for a mission really well. And I'll pray for you and should keep praying too. It helps so much, I see the blessings from prayer every day. I know that you will too.

So I guess that I've run out of things to write about. So if you ever have any questions feel free to ask me. But goodbye for now. I love you all very much. The church is true.

Your Loving Son/Brother,
Elder Hullinger
